St. Nicholas day: Three more bands for 2019

Dec 6th, 2018 | von |

Ho ho ho! St. Nicholas is here, and he’s got something for you: not one, not two, but three big presents that hardly fit your boots. Their discographies could fill books, their names are legendary, and they will give us the honor to welcome them on ROCKHARZ Open Air in 2019 – partly for the very first time.

U.D.O – a legend returns
ANVIL – these primitive rocks of our scene for the first time on RHZ
HARDLINE – also with us for the first time: American Hard Rockers

U.D.O.

In 2017, DIRKSCHNEIDER has already been a guest in our beautiful region and let our jaws drop to the floor. In 2019, he will return, yet this time with the band that he created classics like “Mean Machine” or “Faceless World” in the history of music with. This band has the status of a legend, and until today the group still has a lot of pressure in their kettle – the current hammer “Steelfactory” alone hit our beloved metal scene with a lot of power. Ladies and Gentlemen, please stand up for a real legend on ROCKHARZ Open Air 2019: U.D.O..

ANVIL

This Canadian group is another band that can fill whole chapters in the book of Metal’s history. Founded in the end of the seventies, they spun through the scene like a hurricane in the eighties. “Metal on Metal” or “Strength of Steel” are only two albums of the cram-full record treasure chamber who still brought headbanging steam to the scene with “Pounding the Pavement” even 40 years after their founding. For the first time on ROCKHARZ Open Air: ANVIL!

HARDLINE

Fancy even more legends? Then let us quickly take a look into the Hard Rock genre. These Americans were founded in 1991 and conquered the world only one year later. Their debut album “Double Eclipse” (1992) is a classic, and its hit single “Takin’ Me Down” is difficult to get out of the ear even today. They went on to conquer, and in 2016 “Human Nature” was released, a tremendous album – for the first time on ROCKHARZ Open Air: HARDLINE!
